Victor Osimhen’s Premier League Dream Faces Delays Amid Chelsea’s Financial Constraints

PSG Emerge as Potential Destination for Nigerian Striker as Talks with Napoli Continue

Victor Osimhen has long been vocal about his ambition to one day play in the Premier League. The Nigerian forward has dreamt of competing in England’s top flight since childhood. Over the past year, Chelsea seemed the most likely club to fulfill this dream for Osimhen. However, due to Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), Chelsea are currently unable to make a lucrative move for the Napoli star.

Napoli, valuing Osimhen highly as an icon in Naples, are demanding a hefty fee, which Chelsea cannot currently meet.

This situation leaves Osimhen waiting longer to achieve his Premier League aspirations. However, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) might offer him an alternative destination.

According to L’Equipe, negotiations between Napoli and PSG are ongoing, and PSG are expected to reignite their pursuit of Osimhen in the coming days. While talks with Napoli for another player, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, have stalled, PSG remain keen to acquire Osimhen as their desired target for the number nine position.

To afford Osimhen’s transfer fee, PSG will need to sell players first. Randal Kolo Muani and Gonçalo Ramos are reportedly available for potential suitors this summer, and PSG are open to offers for the duo. The success of these sales could determine whether PSG can secure Osimhen’s services.

Meanwhile, recent reports from Italy claiming that PSG made a €200 million offer for both Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia appear to be inaccurate.
