Nigerian Activist VeryDarkMan Issues Demands to EFCC Amidst Bobrisky Allegations

Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, refuses EFCC summons without first-class travel, security, and luxury stay.

Nigerian social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has made bold demands to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after both he and crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, were summoned to the agency’s Lagos office. The move follows a viral video in which Bobrisky allegedly claimed that certain EFCC officials had taken N15 million in exchange for dropping money laundering charges against him.

In response to the allegations, EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede announced an immediate investigation and extended formal invitations to both Bobrisky and VeryDarkMan for questioning at the Lagos office.

However, VeryDarkMan quickly pushed back, expressing distrust of the commission and stating he has no intention of attending the meeting. In a defiant video posted on his social media, the activist questioned why he, not being a suspect, should be summoned to Lagos instead of EFCC’s Abuja headquarters, where he resides. He voiced concerns about a possible setup and accused the EFCC of inconsistencies in their actions.

VeryDarkMan also laid out specific conditions should he even consider cooperating with the commission. He demanded first-class travel to Lagos, full security detail, and accommodation in a five-star hotel, insisting that the EFCC must treat him as a key informant if they wish to speak with him.
