Nigerian Rapper Hosts Exclusive Listening Session in Lagos

Popular Nigerian artist Chibuzor Azubuike, known by his stage name Phyno, has officially dropped his much-awaited fifth studio album, Full Time Job. The 37-year-old rapper and singer celebrated the album’s release with an exclusive listening session on October 3, 2024, at the Listening Room in Landmark Tower, Oniru, Lagos.

The event brought together fans, industry leaders, and music executives, who were treated to the latest tracks from Phyno’s album. Notable attendees included fellow artists Timaya, Cheque, and Flavour, as well as music executives like Jude Okoye and popular figures such as Ushbebe and Cubana Chief Priest.

Phyno described Full Time Job as a deeply personal project, reflecting his unwavering dedication to his craft. “This album is a masterpiece that did not happen by chance. It reflects my daily experiences and the sacrifices I’ve made in my career. Every song is a piece of my journey,” he shared.

The album features 15 tracks, blending traditional Nigerian sounds with contemporary influences and showcasing Phyno’s growth as an artist. Collaborations with music heavyweights like Burna Boy, Cheque, Fave, Johnny Drille, UK artist Chip, and the UK collective NSG add depth to the project.

Standout tracks include “Time Of My Life” featuring ArrDee, “Do I (Remix)” with Burna Boy, and “Men Don Show Face” featuring Flavour. The album also includes an interlude titled “Nwoke Esike” featuring controversial figure Hushpuppi.
