Teebillz Apologizes to Toke Makinwa Over Comments on 2Baba and Annie Idibia’s Divorce

Talent Manager Clears the Air, Calls for Understanding in Family Matters

After a heated exchange with media personality Toke Makinwa, talent manager Teebillz has publicly apologized for his remarks about her involvement in 2Baba and Annie Idibia’s marital issues.

Their disagreement stemmed from Toke Makinwa’s criticism of 2Baba for announcing his separation from Annie while she was in rehab. Teebillz, formerly married to Tiwa Savage, had earlier called out Toke, suggesting she lacked an in-depth understanding of the situation. However, during an Instagram Live session with OAP Daddy Freeze, he acknowledged that his response may have been misinterpreted and expressed regret.

Teebillz: “Separation Can Be a Blessing”

In his apology, Teebillz admitted that he was triggered by Toke’s comments, particularly her statement about being “ashamed” of 2Baba. He stressed that family disputes are complex and should not be judged from the outside.

“I would like to publicly apologize to Toke. I think my message was misconstrued because, at the end of the day, we are all family,” he said. “This separation is a blessing for Annie and 2Baba to fix themselves. Who knows if they might come back together? Who are we to choose sides?”

He also criticized the influence of reality TV, suggesting that shows like Young, Famous & African capitalize on people’s personal struggles for entertainment.

Lessons from His Own Experience

Reflecting on his past marriage to Tiwa Savage, Teebillz shared insights into the challenges of relationships in the entertainment industry.

“When it comes to family feuds, no one wins,” he said. “I went through the same thing. I gave everything to Tiwa Savage, but the problem we had was the entertainment world.”

Despite his personal experiences, he emphasized the importance of respecting and supporting the women in one’s life. “Every time I defended Tiwa, people thought I was mad. But that’s the mother of my child. Seeing my child thrive makes me happy, and that’s because of Tiwa.”

Teebillz’s apology marks an effort to shift the conversation from blame to understanding, as the public continues to weigh in on the high-profile separation of 2Baba and Annie Idibia.
