Korty criticizes celebrity guests for pulling out of agreed interviews, sparking debate on social media
Nigerian YouTuber Korty EO, known for her candid interviews with celebrities, has expressed her frustration over a stalled interview with music star Davido’s team. Taking to social media platform X, Korty shared her disappointment after Davido’s team reportedly withdrew permission for the interview, despite initially requesting minor re-edits.
In a series of heartfelt tweets, Korty revealed that Davido’s team initially agreed to the re-edits but later told her not to release the video, citing unspecified reasons. Korty voiced her frustrations, saying this was not the first time a celebrity had backed out after an interview. “If you don’t want people to see you for who you are, please do not come on my show,” she wrote, calling out celebrities who waste her time and compromise her work.
Korty, determined to remain authentic, assured her followers of her commitment. “I won’t compromise my values for anyone,” she affirmed, while sharing that her passion and unfiltered style could be “too intense” for some.
The incident also sparked debate online. In response to a comment suggesting she had reached out to Davido’s team, Korty retorted, “They reached out to me,” adding that her critics “can’t relate” due to their own lack of experience in her industry.
Despite the setback, Korty remains committed to her craft, thanking her fans for their unwavering support and expressing optimism for future projects.
