“Abeg e don do!” – Singer Warns Promoters to Stop Contacting Ex-Manager
Lagos, Nigeria – Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has officially ended her decade-long professional relationship with her manager, Mekka Millions. The singer took to Instagram on Saturday, July 26, to make the announcement, sternly warning event organizers, brands, and promoters against working with him for any future bookings.
In a series of candid Instagram stories, the “Koroba” hitmaker made it clear that Mekka no longer represents her and that any business dealings through him would be invalid. She revealed that Vanessa Amadi, a seasoned industry executive, is now her official manager.
“I do not work with Mekka anymore. Please, for bookings, contact Vanessa Amadi,” Tiwa wrote. “Any bookings that go through any other channel will be void, and you will lose your money.”
Frustrated by repeated mix-ups, the singer expressed her annoyance, saying, “Abeg e don do. I have NOTHING TO DO WITH MEKKA. Even if it goes through him and eventually gets to me, I will refuse the booking.”
She revealed that the final straw was discovering that payment for an upcoming event had been sent to Mekka’s personal account despite her previous warnings. “I just got a call that money for a booking I have coming up was just paid to his personal account. You people will lose your money,” she cautioned.
Mekka Millions had managed Tiwa Savage for over 10 years, taking over after her ex-husband, Tee Billz, stepped down in 2014. Their partnership saw her rise to even greater heights in the music industry, but it appears the business relationship has now come to an abrupt end.
Fans and industry insiders are buzzing about the sudden split, with many speculating about the reasons behind the fallout. However, Tiwa made it clear that her focus is on moving forward with her new management.
“I hate coming on social media for this, but I can’t reach every promoter individually,” she wrote. “I’m saying it again for the last time because I will not be responsible for you losing your money.”
With Vanessa Amadi now at the helm, Tiwa Savage is set to continue her reign as one of Africa’s biggest music stars—just without Mekka Millions in the picture.
Will this managerial shift lead to a new era in her career? Only time will tell.
