Tonto Dikeh Denies Arrest Rumors, Affirms Commitment to Law-Abiding Life

Nollywood Star and Politician Addresses False Claims, Emphasizes Dedication to Diplomatic Duties

Nollywood actress and politician Tonto Dikeh has strongly refuted recent rumors claiming that she was arrested and detained by authorities. In a statement posted on her Instagram page, Dikeh clarified that she has not been apprehended by the police or any law enforcement agency in Nigeria.

Addressing her followers, Dikeh emphasized that she is currently at home, “enjoying the goodness of God,” and has not faced any legal action. The actress, who has transitioned into a political career, affirmed her status as a law-abiding citizen, highlighting her responsibilities as a member of the diplomatic society.

“There is a world of difference between helping law enforcement agencies to effectively do their jobs and actually getting involved in crime,” Dikeh stated. She further assured that at no point in her life has there ever been a search warrant, arrest warrant, or any other legal action taken against her by Nigerian authorities.

Dikeh also issued a stern warning to those spreading false rumors, stating that she will take legal action against anyone who attempts to defame her character or brand. “My commitment is to the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a law-abiding citizen,” she declared, adding that she will always cooperate with law enforcement agencies when required.

The statement concluded with Dikeh asserting that those behind the false narratives have “failed woefully” in their attempts to tarnish her reputation.

Signed off as “Her Excellency, Ambassador King Tonto Dikeh,” the actress made it clear that she remains focused on her public duties and will not be distracted by baseless rumors.
