Transfer gossip: Qatar’s three-man wishlist for Man Utd as Arsenal want four stars for £200m – Football365

The Qatari bid for Man Utd wants you to think they’ll sign Kylian Mbappe this summer, when Arsenal want to make £200m stretch to a couple of midfielders, a forward and a centre-back…

QATARIS WANT PSG, REAL, BAYERN STARS AT MAN UTD
Sheikh Jassim not only wants to buy Manchester United, he also wants to appoint himself as sporting director too…

It seems it’s either the Sheikh or Sir Jim Ratcliffe who’ll own United next season, with the Qataris seeking an outright purchase, while Ratcliffe and his INEOS group apparently value the club higher with their offer for a majority stake.

The Qataris appear to be trying to appeal to United fans’ baser instincts by letting it be known they will target three big names should their name be above the Old Trafford door this summer. Bild‘s Christian Falk says they will look to sign PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman and Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

Initially, the Sheikh was said to be dangling Neymar in front of United supporters before he realised that the Brazilian is not the carrot he once was. PSG fans certainly want rid of Neymar since they gathered outside his house yesterday and made their feelings very clear.

MESSI OFF TO SAUDI FOR SILLY MONEY
Similarly, those PSG followers also stopped off at the club’s offices to tell Lionel Messi to sling his hook. And the Argentina star is happy to oblige.

Messi’s contract in Paris is coming to an end this summer and there is no renewal in the offing. He’s currently serving a two-week club suspension after disappearing to Saudi Arabia on an unauthorised trip.

While he’s there, as well as checking out Saudi’s surprising greenery, he may be putting the finishing touches to a mega-money transfer. The Telegraph reckons he’s been offered £320million a year – almost double the size of Cristiano Ronaldo’s deal – to join Al-Hilal, while Okaz, a Saudi-based outlet, is suggesting it’s a done deal.

ARSENAL WANT FOUR FOR £200M
Arsenal are still hoping to recruit as Premier League champions this summer, though they’ll have a job getting past Manchester City and their ridiculous centre-forward down the home straight.

Still, the Gunners are pressing on with plans for a big window, with reports this week suggesting Mikel Arteta will have a kitty of around £200million.

The Daily Mail reckons Arsenal want to sign two midfielders, a versatile forward and a young, emerging centre-back.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby is top of their attacking wishlist, with Wilf Zaha offering an alternative as a free-agent once his Palace deal expires at the end of the season. Declan Rice is their primary midfield target, with Southampton’s Romeo Lavia and Brighton’s Moises Caicedo also on their radar. And Edu is also looking in the Premier League for defensive reinforcements with Palace’s Marc Guehi high on their list.
