With playing time at a premium, the Dutch striker is reportedly ready to seek a January exit from Old Trafford.
Joshua Zirkzee’s future at Manchester United is already in doubt, with the young forward growing increasingly frustrated by his lack of opportunities under manager Ruben Amorim.
According to a report from The Sun, the 24-year-old Dutchman is prepared to push for a move away from the club when the transfer window reopens in January if his situation does not improve. Zirkzee has yet to be named in the starting lineup for the Red Devils this season, leaving him on the periphery of the squad.
This perceived snub has put several European clubs on high alert. Italian giants Juventus, who had previously expressed interest in the striker, are said to be monitoring his position closely. They could face competition from newly ambitious Serie A side Como, who are looking to make a statement signing.
Zirkzee’s path to the first team was further blocked by the loan arrival of another forward, Rasmus Hojlund, at Napoli—a club that was also initially keen on the Dutchman. PSV Eindhoven has also been mentioned as a potential suitor in the past.
Despite the growing speculation, Manchester United still hold significant contractual control. Zirkzee’s current deal runs until 2029, and the club has an option to extend it by an additional year, meaning any move would likely require a substantial offer.
