Catalan Giants Prepare for Transition as Xavi Hernandez Stays On as Manager

Despite Lewandowski’s solid performance with 23 goals and eight assists this season, Xavi has often preferred Ferran Torres in the forward role, leading to speculation about Lewandowski’s future destination, possibly in leagues like the Saudi Pro League or Major League Soccer (MLS).
Regarding Lewandowski’s status, Xavi stated, “I am not going to speak about anyone’s future as I don’t think it’s helpful for us. I am happy with Robert.”
However, amid potential departures, Barcelona has identified three players deemed indispensable to the club’s future plans. These players include La Masia graduates Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsi, and Gavi.
Yamal, just 16 years old, has impressed since his debut last year, earning recognition in Spain’s national team setup under Luis de la Fuente. Cubarsi, a 17-year-old center-back, has also caught Xavi’s eye with strong performances, likely leading to a new long-term contract with Barcelona. Despite injury setbacks, Gavi remains a highly valued asset within the club.
