At 54 years old, Ten Hag is facing significant pressure at Old Trafford and is at risk of being sacked at the conclusion of the season. However, Bayern Munich is considering offering him a top managerial position, potentially providing a smooth transition if he departs from Manchester United.
Sources indicate that Ten Hag features prominently on Bayern’s shortlist, alongside former Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui and Benfica’s Roger Schmidt. Sky Sports has learned that Bayern has reached out to Ten Hag’s agent, Kees Vos, to gauge his interest in the role.
While no formal discussions have occurred yet, it’s reported that Ten Hag is aware of Bayern Munich’s interest, signaling a potential shift in managerial dynamics at both clubs.
This development follows Ralf Rangnick’s decision last month to reject Bayern Munich’s advances and continue serving as Austria’s head coach, leaving Bayern in search of a new manager following Thomas Tuchel’s imminent departure at the end of the season.
Although Bayern has missed out on the Bundesliga title for the first time since 2012, their Champions League campaign remains alive. Despite a 2-2 draw against Real Madrid in the first leg of their semi-final, Tuchel’s side still harbors hopes of Champions League glory.
