Davido Fires Back: Claims Dammy Krane Owes Him $450,000 and More

The Ongoing Feud Unveils Allegations of Unpaid Debts and Unsettled Scores

In a recent turn of events, the Nigerian music industry is buzzing with controversy as award-winning artist David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, responds to allegations of unpaid royalties made by his fellow artist Dammy Krane. The dispute has taken a public twist, with both musicians airing their grievances on social media.

Dammy Krane had previously accused Davido of owing him money for royalties on a song he purportedly wrote for the ‘OBO’ crooner. Krane emphasized the urgency of the matter, pleading with Davido to settle the debt for the sake of his daughter.

Responding to these claims on Friday via his social media handle, Davido countered the accusations by revealing that Dammy Krane himself owes him a substantial sum. According to Davido, Dammy Krane never paid him for three verses contributed to songs titled ‘In Case Of Incasity,’ ‘Gbetiti,’ and ‘Izzue.’ The music star disclosed that he currently charges $150,000 per verse, totaling $450,000 owed by Dammy Krane for these collaborations. Additionally, Davido asserted that he was not compensated for producing Dammy Krane’s song ‘Pooner.’

In a surprising revelation, Davido alleged that Dammy Krane failed to reimburse him for the hospitality extended during a difficult time. He claimed Dammy Krane never paid for housing and feeding when the latter was reportedly homeless in Atlanta years ago.

Quoting Dammy Krane’s tweet where he boasted about being the first to give Davido the tag ‘On the beat is Davido,’ the DMW boss fired back, stating, “I never got paid for that also my 3 verses I’ve gifted you all your dead career…oh yea plus my royalties, we charge now so that’s about $150k x3 a verse…also house rent and food when u stayed in my house in Atlanta when you were homeless.”
