Cease and Desist Letter Issued as Singer Faces Accusations of Social Media Smear Campaigns
Popular singer Davido’s baby mama, Sophia Momodu, has taken a decisive legal stance against the artist, serving him with a cease and desist letter through her legal representatives at PUNUKA Attorneys and Solicitors. The legal action follows recent accusations by Tiwa Savage, who claimed that Davido had threatened her over her association with Sophia Momodu.
The cease and desist letter outlines serious allegations against Davido, accusing him of engaging in cyberbullying and harassment. Momodu’s legal team claims that the singer orchestrated smear campaigns on social media, coordinated cyberbullying attacks, and made threatening remarks towards Momodu’s associates. The letter, issued to Davido’s attorneys, expressed disappointment at the singer’s continued disruptive and unlawful conduct despite prior warnings.
The letter reads in part: “It is shocking that notwithstanding our earlier email to your good self which was not responded to and the Petition against your client currently being investigated by the Police, your client has continued with his disruptive and unlawful conduct. Our client in the last couple of days has been subjected to a series of coordinated attacks and cyberbullying orchestrated by your client and his cohorts.”
The legal team reiterated their position, stating, “We are again by this letter reiterating our position expressed in our earlier email that your client would be held responsible for any harm that may befall our client as such will be a clear manifestation of the threats and premeditated ambitions of your client.”
As the legal battle unfolds, fans and the public await further developments in this high-profile dispute within the entertainment industry.
