Pastor Enoch Adeboye Dismisses Claims of Demonic Powers in Latest Sermon

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has once again addressed ongoing speculations that question the source of his spiritual power. Speaking during a sermon at the RCCG 2023 National Convention themed “Beyond Expectations,” held at the Redemption Camp on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Adeboye directly confronted the claims that he derives his abilities from demonic forces.

During his sermon, which took place on Friday night, Pastor Adeboye acknowledged the rumors that have been circulating and stated that he initially had reservations about addressing them. However, he explained that he changed his mind during one of his prayer sessions. He emphasized that he felt the need to clarify his position on the matter to ensure that he doesn’t lead anyone astray.

In his address, Adeboye urged the congregation to join him in a prayer that addresses these rumors head-on. He asked them to call upon God to intervene and reveal the truth. He stated, “I want you to say a prayer and please say it with all your heart. I want you to call on God that if Pastor Adeboye is contacting the devil one way or the other, if there are any connections between him and forces of darkness; you are going to call on Almighty God to kill him before the sun rises so that he does not spoil your name. So that he does not lead several innocent people to hell.”

The spiritual leader further expanded on the prayer point, urging his congregation to also pray for an increase in divine power if that is the source of his abilities. He said, “Father, but if this boy is using your power and your power alone then multiply that power in seven folds.”

This recent sermon follows Adeboye’s earlier address in July, during which he first acknowledged the claims questioning the origin of his spiritual power. He had mentioned that the allegations were based on a statement from an unnamed individual.

As the RCCG’s National Convention continues, Adeboye’s words are sure to resonate with his followers and those seeking clarity on the matter.
