Iran Declares Full Readiness for Israeli Retaliation After Missile Strike

Supreme Leader Khamenei orders attack as tensions escalate between Tehran and Tel Aviv

Iran has declared its preparedness for any potential Israeli response following its missile strike on Israeli territory. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader, authorized the launch of over 180 ballistic missiles into Israel early Tuesday, significantly heightening tensions in the region.

The Israeli military reported that its air defenses successfully intercepted many of the missiles, though some struck areas in central and southern Israel. Despite the attack, no injuries have been reported.

Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, the Israeli military spokesperson, confirmed the interception efforts, while an unnamed senior Iranian official told Reuters that Tehran “is fully ready for any retaliation.”

In defense of the missile strikes, Iran’s mission to the United Nations stated that the attack was a justified response to “terrorist acts” by Israel.
