Polish striker becomes third player to reach 100 UCL goals.
Robert Lewandowski etched his name into UEFA Champions League history, scoring his 100th and 101st goals in the competition as Barcelona cruised to a 3-0 victory over Brest at Camp Nou.
The Polish striker wasted no time making his mark, converting a penalty in the 10th minute after being fouled by Brest’s goalkeeper. The goal placed him alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the only players to reach the century mark in Champions League goals.
Despite Barcelona’s recent free-scoring form—14 goals in their previous three matches—the visitors proved to be a tough nut to crack. Brest defended resolutely, keeping the hosts at bay for much of the game.
However, Barca doubled their lead in the second half when Dani Olmo weaved through two defenders and finished neatly from close range. In stoppage time, Lewandowski pounced on a defensive error to net his second goal, sealing a comfortable win for the Catalans.
The victory pushes Barcelona to second in their group with 12 points, while Brest, experiencing their first loss of the campaign, remain on 10. Both teams are still in contention as the competition’s knockout stages approach.
Barcelona will now focus on building momentum domestically as they aim to carry their Champions League form into La Liga.
