The former BBNaija contestant reveals that fame shifted her priorities, stating that as a millionaire, she now values financial parity over just romance in a partnership.
In a candid revelation, popular reality star Tacha has declared that her views on marriage have drastically changed since finding fame, moving away from a fairytale notion of love to a more pragmatic approach.
The former Big Brother Naija housemate, whose real name is Natacha Akide, explained that before her rise to stardom on the show in 2019, marrying for love was a possibility. Now, as a self-made millionaire, she believes financial compatibility is non-negotiable.
“I can’t marry just because of love. I’m looking for a billionaire,” Tacha stated frankly in an interview with Yanga FM Lagos. “I’m a millionaire, so my potential husband should be richer than me.”
She was unequivocal about the shift in her perspective, adding, “I’m certain I can’t marry for love. If I was before Big Brother Naija, maybe, it would have been an option. But right now, it’s a No.”
Despite her clear criteria for a future partner, the media personality was quick to clarify that walking down the aisle is not her main focus right now. For the moment, Tacha says she is channeling all her energy into building her brand and advancing her career, putting matrimonial plans firmly on the back burner.
