We will stabilize this country, secure our nation, and make Nigeria a peaceful place,” stated the new NSA.
Ribadu emphasized that the administration of President Bola Tinubu firmly believes that the time has come for Nigeria to enjoy peace, restore order, and uphold the rule of law, just like any other country in the world. Recognizing that securing the nation is an ongoing process, he affirmed the administration’s dedication to building upon the existing efforts. He also expressed the need for the support and cooperation of all stakeholders in fulfilling their responsibilities.
“Mr. President has a profound commitment to securing every inch of our country. We will work with all stakeholders to deliver on this vision. Securing our nation is the responsibility of all Nigerians and friends of Nigeria,” added Ribadu.
He called for the full cooperation of the armed forces, as well as all citizens, highlighting the importance of unity in achieving the administration’s goal of a stable, peaceful, and prosperous nation.
Former NSA, retired Maj.-Gen. Babagana Monguno, commended Ribadu’s qualifications and experience in handling the complexity of security challenges faced by Nigeria. He expressed confidence in Ribadu’s ability to tackle any obstacles, given his past service in various related positions.
Monguno, who has handed over a comprehensive note to his successor, expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve in such a significant role. He wished Ribadu a successful tenure and a healthy life after his tenure, highlighting the importance of a collective and competent approach in addressing the ever-changing security environment.
He urged the staff to extend their support and cooperation to Ribadu, emphasizing the importance of working together to achieve the nation’s security objectives.
