Nigerian rapper Oladips has publicly accused Afrobeat star Wizkid of intellectual theft, alleging that Wizkid’s verse on Asake’s song “MMS” bears a striking resemblance to lyrics from his own track, “Ajala Traveller,” released in 2022.

Oladips shared a screenshot comparing the lyrics, pointing out the similarity between his line, “I had to lose myself to find my purpose,” and Wizkid’s line in “MMS,” “Lost myself, and I found my purpose.”

The rapper questioned whether this was a case of “recycling or coincidence” and called on Wizkid to address the issue.
