Controversial Nigerian Artist Accuses Zlatan of Ruining His Relationship with Davido and Takes Shots at Fela Kuti and Carter Efe
Nigerian musician Portable has sparked controversy again with harsh remarks during an appearance on the Echoo Room podcast, hosted by Quincy Jonze. In a scathing tirade, Portable blamed fellow artist Zlatan Ibile for damaging his relationship with superstar Davido, referring to Zlatan as “the devil” who interfered in their friendship.
Portable recounted that while on tour in the United States, Davido invited him for a meet-up. However, he claims Zlatan’s involvement led to a fallout between himself and the “Unavailable” singer, souring their relationship.
The artist also took aim at the legendary Fela Kuti, controversially suggesting that Fela’s early demise was due to not minding his own business. Additionally, Portable accused Carter Efe of pestering him for a collaboration, though he had positive words for Wizkid, praising him as the first person to shower him with dollars on stage.
The interview has reignited debates within the Nigerian music scene, with Portable’s comments drawing widespread reactions.
