Pop Icon Publicly Supports Vice President Following Presidential Debate
American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has officially endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 Presidential Election. In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Swift announced her support for Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, shortly after the latest presidential debate.
Swift praised Harris as a “steady-handed, gifted leader” who champions causes important to her, including LGBTQ+ rights and women’s reproductive health. “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they fight for the rights and causes that need a warrior to champion them,” Swift wrote.
The pop star also encouraged her fans to do their own research and reminded first-time voters about the importance of registration and early voting.
