Nigerian singer Mayorkun has released a new song titled “Under The Canopy,” featuring voice recordings of TikTok influencer Nicki DaBarbie, who accused him of being involved in rituals.
Following these accusations, Mayorkun spoke out, emphasizing the need to address the claims due to their potentially misleading nature. He stated that he had never met Nicki DaBarbie in person and had no idea why she made such allegations. The singer also announced his intention to take legal action against her.
On Instagram, Mayorkun shared a video of himself in the studio working on the song and included a snippet of the newly released track. His post was captioned: “At the end of the day, the day gotta end! ‘Under The Canopy’ out at midnight! 🤞🏾❤️”
