Israeli Prime Minister vows retaliation following Iranian missile strike
Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has issued a stern warning to Iran, declaring that the Islamic Republic will regret its decision to launch missiles on Israeli territory.
Speaking after the attack on Tuesday evening, Netanyahu said, “Iran made a big mistake tonight and will pay for it. Whoever attacks us, we attack them,” as he convened an emergency meeting with his security cabinet.
The Israeli military confirmed that the country’s air defenses intercepted many of the incoming missiles, though some landed in central and southern Israel. Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, the military spokesperson, reported that there were no injuries from the attack.
“This strike will have consequences,” Hagari said, urging the public to follow army safety guidelines in the aftermath of the incident.
