Nigerian Actor Yomi Fabiyi Claims Assassination Attempt Amid Fight for Mohbad’s Justice

Fabiyi says he’s in hiding after escaping two life-threatening incidents

Nigerian actor and film producer Yomi Fabiyi has alleged that his life is under threat, claiming to have recently escaped an assassination attempt. The actor revealed this while explaining his absence from the Coroner’s inquest into the death of late singer Mohbad on Monday.

Fabiyi shared that two days ago, he narrowly escaped from would-be assassins and that another attempt was planned for the following night. He expressed concern over being targeted for his outspoken fight for justice in Mohbad’s case, denying any financial motivation behind his actions.

“If they had succeeded, I would have been buried tomorrow,” Fabiyi stated. “They want to end my life just because I’m fighting for justice. I didn’t take money from anyone. I’m doing this for God.”
