The simmering rivalry between Nigerian music icons Davido and Wizkid took another turn after a tense run-in at a London nightclub. According to reports, the two stars, who attended the same venue, pointedly ignored each other, sparking fresh speculation about their strained relationship.
Davido was reportedly relaxing at the club when Wizkid entered with his entourage. Despite being in close proximity, the two stars did not acknowledge one another. To the surprise of onlookers, Wizkid left shortly after arriving, leaving Davido and his crew behind.
In response to the encounter, Morgan DMW, a key member of Davido’s 30BG crew, took to Instagram to throw shade at Wizkid, questioning the singer’s swift departure and mocking his reliance on a bodyguard. “Why you gbe body. Who go guide your bodyguard?” Morgan wrote, implying that Wizkid lacked the confidence to stay in the same space as Davido.
The latest exchange follows a long history of tension between the two Afrobeat giants. Last October, Wizkid went on an extended social media rant, where he disparaged Davido’s career, music, and finances, even claiming that those around Davido were broke but still followed him around the world.
