UK-Based Nigerian Artist Robby Law Accuses Davido of Ignoring Their Collaboration (video)

Artist Claims He’s Been Waiting Five Years for Song Release Despite Paying £15,000

UK-based Nigerian musician Robby Law has publicly called out Afrobeats superstar Davido, accusing him of failing to release a song they recorded together five years ago.

Robby Law revealed his frustration in a post on Twitter, explaining that despite paying £15,000 for the collaboration, he has been unable to get a response from Davido. The artist shared that he has made several attempts to contact Davido, but his efforts have been ignored.

In his post, Robby Law wrote, “Hi @davido, I have tried to reach you in every possible way since this song got completed but to no avail it’s been 5 years now and I am still waiting. I contacted @moneymakerdmw who initiated this deal to help get in touch with you for a smooth release but he refused stating that ‘the song is old now I should come and pay for another song’.”

Robby Law also opened up about personal hardships, including losing his wife and baby in 2021, and raising his remaining children as a single parent. Despite these challenges, he continued to hope that Davido would remember their song and support its release.

He expressed his disappointment, saying, “I paid £15,000 and I should not be treated like this. I have spent so much money preparing for the song which is in thousands of pounds. All I am asking for is to please support this banger so it can fly and your touch light shine reach my family too.”

Along with his message, Robby Law shared an audio snippet of the unreleased song titled “JO” and described it as an “evergreen banger.”
