Among the notable tracks on the album are ‘I Told Them,’ ‘Normal,’ ‘On Form,’ ‘Giza’ featuring Seyi Vibez, ‘Tested, Approved & Trusted,’ and ‘Dey Play.’ Additionally, the album boasts tracks like ‘Thanks’ featuring J. Cole, ‘Cheat On Me’ featuring Dave, ‘Virgil,’ ‘City Boys,’ ‘Jewels,’ and ‘If I’m Lying.’

Over the past two months, Burna Boy has offered fans a taste of the album by releasing three tracks from it. These include ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ featuring 21 Savage, ‘Big 7,’ and ‘Taliban II’ featuring Bryon Messia.

Discussing the album, the Grammy-winning artist revealed that ‘I Told Them’ sheds light on a facet of his personality that the public rarely sees.

“The album kind of showed me exactly the way I wanted to express what I was feeling and what my unit was feeling. The spirit of my unit. Just put that in because this is every day,” Burna Boy explained. “This is a side that people do not really get to see because I do not really care for anyone to see. I have fun with it like this. But I felt like this time, this is a way… How do I put it?

“A more understandable way to pass that feeling and that energy across. And at the same time, showing you that’s… Not you. Showing everyone that the combination of worlds is something that we have not really capitalized on.

“Because at the end of the day, once we are all unified, everything else, the fruits of that just take care of everything.”

‘I Told Them’ marks the follow-up to Burna Boy’s successful album ‘Love, Damini’ released in 2022. Born as Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy’s rise to fame began with the release of ‘Like to Party,’ the lead single from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’ in 2013.

The artist made history in Nigeria in 2021 when his fifth album ‘Twice As Tall (2020)’ secured the ‘Best World Music Album’ award at the Grammys. With the release of ‘I Told Them,’ Burna Boy continues to assert his musical prowess and unique creative voice on the global stage.
